FAQs...

Q - Are the cameras weather proof?

A - Yes, in fact they are submersible fully sealed units

Q - Are the cameras black & white or colour?

A - We can do either. We find that black and white cameras produce far superior images under poor lighting conditions. Colour cameras tend to need lots of light.

Q - How much can one camera actually see?

A - Most cameras have a 78 degree field of view. That in itself does not mean much until you know how high you are mounting it, and how far away the target is. To give you a rough idea, a camera looking at an object 3 meters away will have a 4 meter horizontal view. 6 meters away will give an 8 meter horizontal span.

Q - How reliable is wireless technology?

A - More reliable than overhead or underground cables, with deteriorate over time and break. We have wireless systems in operation over 5 years.

Q - I almost have line of sight, will it still work?

A - If line of sight is being blocked by a hedge row or a few trees, then as long as your distance is well within the range of the kit, it will work fine. If you have buildings, especially with metal roofs, then you need to try and relocate the transmitter and receiver to get around the blockage if possible. Masonry walls will reduce range by around half, therefore a 300 meter kit will only get around 100 - 150 meters range. Metal objects will total block the signal.

Q - If I buy a single camera system, can I upgrade later to add a second camera?

A - Yes. The kits are upgradeable. Call us for details and pricing.

Q - What happens if I buy a kit and I don't get a really good signal?

A - We can send you an antenna upgrade kit, to boost the signal. So if you bought a 100 meter kit, the upgrade will give you the range of a 300 meter kit. Price will be the same as the difference in the 2 kits - £100+vat.

Q - Is there any warranty on the systems?

A - Of course. You will receive a full 12 months warranty.

Q - What happens if I try the system and sue to unforeseen circumstances, it will not work in my location?

A - If you send the kit back un marked and un damaged, we will refund you less a minimal 10% restocking fee.

Q - Does this work with any TV?

A - Check at the back of your set. If there is a rectangular socket with around 20 pins, then yes. Most TVs which are less than 10 years old should have a scart input.
