Installed
Products terms
Warranty - All installed products come with a 2 year warranty.
Any product defect will be replaced or repaired on site and all attempts
will be made to repair the problem within 2 weeks. This excludes damage
caused by vandalism, improper use, tampering with equipment or natural
disasters. Flood light bulbs and hard drives are covered by a 3 month
warranty. You will receive a SIGNED warranty certificate once the job is
completed and paid for in full.
Additional requests & Extras - Should any customer request
additional items or request that the installation be modified in any way
from our standard method of install, then we shall submit a verbal or
written quotation for the extras for approval. The customer will need to
agree on the bill before work can proceed.
Snags - Any snags or issues not reported on final inspection will
be considered as either a free warranty call out, or a chargeable
modification depending upon the nature of the issue. For example,
adjusting the opening delay on gates after the job has been completed
will be considered a chargeable site visit. This also applies to things
such as repositioning or re zooming of CCTV cameras after the job is
complete. To avoid additional charges, all customers are advised to make
sure they are 100% happy with their installation before final approval.
Snags will NOT be a reason to delay final payment, regardless of being
warranty issues or chargeable. We are binded by our contract to provide
what was quoted for and we are committed to attend any faults within 2
weeks as stated in our warranty terms above so please do not hold off
payment in an attempt to ensure it gets done as this has no positive
effect on the outcome.
Payment - Payment terms are generally 50% deposit to be paid in
advance of ordering of parts for installation. Remaining balance to be
paid on the same day of completion without exception. Late payments in
excess of 10 days will automatically attract a late payment charge, and
the overdue amount will be transferred to a 3rd party recovery agency,
at which point you will be liable for any legal expenses incurred.
Overdue payment will be taken as breach of contract. AES reserve the
right to terminate the contract and the warranty agreement. All
equipment installed remains the property of AES unless paid for in full,
and AES reserve the right to remove any equipment without notice unless
paid for in full. Large contracts may have specific payment terms drawn
up.
Online and trade purchases
Warranty - All trade and online products come with a minimum of 1
year warranty, with many products offered on a 2 year warranty. This is
a return to base warranty, which means that if it is faulty, return it,
and we will repair it or replace it. Warranty does not cover damage
caused by improper installation, misuse or failure to follow the
manufacturers instructions.
Returns - Should the product not meet your expectations, you can
return it within 1 week for a full refund less 10% restocking fee. If
the product is marked or not in new condition, or packaging and manuals
are not as new, you may be charged up to 30% restocking fee. No refund
is given for shipping costs, only the value of the actual item.
Delivery - If an item is in stock, we make all attempts to
dispatch on the same day provided that the order is placed and payment
received before 12.00 noon. We ship on a next day courier service to the
UK and Ireland. We cannot guarantee delivery times on behalf of the
courier. If an item is not in stock, or unusual delays of over 1 week
are expected, you will be contacted and notified, at which point you may
cancel your order if you like.
Payment - All online purchases are handled independently by
Google Checkout. This is a secure checkout process and AES is not party
to your card details at any time. For trade account customers, we offer
accounts to UK customers on a 30 day basis. Any overdue accounts will be
put on stop immediately, and technical support services will be
withdrawn until the account is up to date. We do not offer credit terms
to customers in the Republic of Ireland, however we do offer trade
prices on a pay by card basis in advance.
General
All transactions and sales are subject to Northern Ireland Law and the
Northern Ireland Courts.
